An usher is an employee whose primary responsibility is to assist guests in locating their seats; to keep non-ticketed persons from sitting in reserved seats, and to handle problems in your assigned area during events.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Report any physical or structural problems to his supervisor and the supervisor will report it to the facility maintenance manager.
- Check each ticket completely.

- Receive and act on any complaints from guests. Never let a guest’s problem go unanswered.
- If you observe guests in possession of items that are prohibited in the venue, politely ask them to dispose of it.
- Escalate situations to security.
- Remain in a position where guests can see you.
- Monitor your assigned area.
- Keep aisles clear.
